Refund & cancellation

This policy applies to paid advisory engagements with Desktopmeadowbase (attribution audits, workshops, reading sessions, and reconciliations). This website does not take payments; invoices are issued separately.

<h2>Eligibility</h2>
<p>Refunds depend on how much work has started and whether a deposit was paid. Informational rate cards on this site are not invoices.</p>

<h2>Timeframe to request</h2>
<p>Cancellation or refund requests should be emailed to <a href="mailto:info@desktopmeadowbase.click">info@desktopmeadowbase.click</a> within 14 days of the triggering event (cancellation notice, missed kickoff, or delivery dispute), and no later than 30 days after final delivery for quality concerns.</p>

<h2>Full refund</h2>
<p>If you cancel before we have scheduled the kickoff and before any deposit work begins, prepaid fees are refunded in full.</p>

<h2>Partial refund</h2>
<p>If work has started (exports reviewed, draft underway) but the final walkthrough has not occurred, we may refund the unused portion after deducting time already spent at the agreed rate, documented in writing.</p>

<h2>Non-refundable items</h2>
<ul>
  <li>Completed walkthroughs and delivered final briefs</li>
  <li>Completed 90-minute reading sessions once the session has begun</li>
  <li>Third-party room hire booked at your request (passed through at cost)</li>

<h2>Deposits</h2>
<p>Projects above MYR 5,000 may require a deposit (typically 30%). Deposits are applied to the final invoice. If you cancel after kickoff, the deposit covers work already performed; any remainder may be refunded under the partial-refund rule.</p>

<h2>Rescheduling &amp; no-shows</h2>
<p>Reschedule workshops or readings with at least 48 hours’ notice at no charge (subject to availability). Late cancellations or no-shows may forfeit the session fee. Audits may be paused once by mutual agreement; extended pauses beyond 45 days may require a new quote.</p>

<h2>Work already started &amp; materials</h2>
<p>Annotated drafts produced before cancellation remain our working papers unless fees for that stage are paid. We do not charge for “purchased materials” beyond agreed third-party costs you pre-approved.</p>

<h2>Refund process &amp; timing</h2>
<p>Approved refunds are returned by the original payment method within 14 business days of written approval. Bank transfer fees charged by your bank are outside our control.</p>
